Mike has 25 years of experience in the construction industry. His experience over the years in all aspects of commercial construction makes him a valuable asset to our team.
He understands how important a “hands on” approach is, and will work with your operations staff to ensure a successful project. His scheduling and cost control experience will ensure your projects are completed on time and under budget. Mike makes himself available at all times and routinely visits the project sites.
Mike’s experience includes construction of numerous commercial/retail centers, hotels, residential and institutional projects. Michael started his career with the US Army Corp of Engineers as a bridge construction specialist. He went on to earn a 4 year degree from EMU and since has worked in both the public and private sectors. This broad range of experience has given him the knowledge and experience to effectively work with local and state government, as well as a broad range of private developers. Whether you are doing a major renovation or a ground up project, Michael will deliver a high quality product in a cost effective manner. Some of his clients consist of major hotel ownership groups and many school districts throughout Michigan.
Bob has more than 25 years of experience in construction management, advanced community planning, zoning, land / site acquisition, project management, and economic development.
As Chief Operating Officer, he oversees the overall operations for the firm and its wholly owned subsidiaries. He also contributes to the firm’s corporate strategy, client relations and business development initiatives as a shareholder and board member.
As a trusted advisor to his clients, Bob has successfully led hundreds of design and development projects for local and national land developers, hospitality firms, REIT’s, large and small format retailers, public and private homebuilders, corporate real estate organizations, power and energy clients and infrastructure developers.
His experience includes the entitlement, design and construction of numerous commercial/retail centers, hotels, residential subdivisions, sports venues and institutional developments. He has drafted municipal zoning ordinance amendments, community master plan amendments, performed site feasibility studies, supervised the design and development of public and private infrastructure projects, managed land surveying activities, and quality control of earthwork, paving operations and underground utilities.
Prior to joining North American Construction Enterprises, Bob was a Vice President, owner and board member of Atwell, LLC, a National Land Development Consulting Firm with 15 offices throughout the U.S. offering civil engineering, surveying, environmental, land planning and construction management services to the real estate industry. He also spent time with a national design-build firm managing new site development teams/offices focused on site development, land acquisition and permitting activities to facilitate the construction of his client’s assets. Prior to entering the private sector Bob spent nearly 10 years in the public sector where he managed a large municipal department consisting of planning, zoning, engineering, code enforcement, building inspections and Economic Development. He was also responsible for managing two Tax Increment Financing authorities. As such, he coordinated with property owners, public and private agencies, researched and acquired property for redevelopment and facilitated complex public and private partnerships.
Bob is a four-year honorably discharged veteran of the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division serving as a Sergeant/Squad Leader stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC and Caserma Ederle, Vicenza Italy.
Paul is Vice President of Operations and Partner. With over 25+ Years of experience in all facets of the construction industry,
both commercial and residential, Paul has been instrumental in growing the firm’s hospitality and retail divisions. Paul oversees all preconstruction budgeting and estimating, contractor prequalifying, quality control/quality assurance, historical cost database management, project scheduling and assisting clients with the zoning and entitlement processes, assessing project feasibility, and determining the course of permitting.
Paul holds a BS degree from Western Michigan University in Business Administration and is a licensed Storm Water Operator. Paul has successfully completed the coursework and requirements for his Michigan Residential Builder’s License.
Russ has 25+ years combined in the commercial and residential construction industry that began in the ’70s as a cooling tower
scaffold builder working for Fluor-Daniels at the V.C. Summer Nuclear facility and has since included multimillion dollar new construction and remodel projects all along the Atlantic and Gulf Shore states comprised of hotel and condominium construction, multimillion dollar custom beach front home construction, luxury residential golf course community construction as well as small and large format retail projects.
Russ manages our Southern clients, contacts and subcontractors as our Southeast Regional Director. As always he prefers to be in the field, with his men, over an office environment.
Russ is detail-oriented and lives by the old leadership mantra of MBWA or, Management By Walk Around. When we put Russ on your project he believes in frequent visits and making sure each and every task is understood, supervised and accomplished, on time and to your utmost satisfaction.
Russ is a veteran of 82nd Airborne Division serving our Country at Fort Bragg, NC and Vicenza, Italy in the early to mid-80s where he was a Jumpmaster and NCO of the Year.
Bill’s experience as an estimator ranges from hotels, office buildings, schools, municipal projects, retail, industrial, multi-family, custom residential and production residential. Bill understand how important it is to have the right personal and sub-contractors on a project to make it successful and profitable for all parties involved. With a strong knowledge of estimating and construction management, he has successfully estimated, bid, budgeted, purchased and managed thousands of projects from small $100,000 addition/ renovation to 20 + Million dollar in value. At North American Construction Enterprises Bill is responsible for preparing cost estimates/ bids by evaluating construction plans, assisting clients with establishing project budgets, building programing and relying on his extensive knowledge of the industry to achieve the optimum utilization of resources, materials and equipment.
